What is Taboo Today, Was Normal in Ancient India!

Many of us have seen or at least know about the sculptures depicting various aspects of human life, including erotic scenes at the Khajuraho temples in MP, India. And also the Ambubachi Mela, a festival celebrating the Kamakhya Devi’s menstruation. Not to forget Kama Sutra, an ancient Indian Sanskrit text written on emotional fulfillment and eroticism. While we all know about them, we usually just ignore and continue with our modern day dharma and sense of morality.

Not anymore. I realized this when I read a few ancient scriptures like Srimad Bhagwat Mahapuran and found that we were much more open minded society than today’s world. Here are a few examples:
